From Bendigo in the Central Otago region of New Zealand, this is a top quality pinot noir from the 2022 vintage and Quartz Reef. Despite being from Central Otago’s warmest subregion of Bendigo, this wine is quite Burgundian in its firmness. Central Otago just isn’t that warm and can produce these styles. There are quite precise aromas of rose, dark cherry and a little blackcurrant. The palate is medium bodied with high acidity and a strict, firm line of tannins through the palate.
