Domaine Schoffit Rangen Grand Cru Riesling 2020 Review

Domaine Schoffit Rangen Grand Cru Riesling 2020 Review

Labelled as “Clos Saint-Théobald”, this wine is a grand cru riesling from Domaine Schoffit in Alsace in France.  Clos Saint-Théobald is in a walled section within the famous Rangen grand cru vineyard. There is some useful information here from its Australian importer. Alsace represents a value choice for good quality, complex dry riesling styles. In this case, it’s a top quality dry expression of this classic variety. The wine has aromas of stones, lemon and a little lime. The palate is viscous, dry and has stone characters that are supplemented by lemon, green melon, lime and sweet fruit characters. Drink this top quality riesling over the next decade.  Review Rating: Very Good (★★★★, 91 points). Website: None obvious. Tasted: July 2026.
