Château Labegorce is the second 2014 Bordeaux vintage I’ve tasted in recent weeks, and time is proving it to be a very good vintage. Château Labegorce is a very good value producer from Margaux. The 2014 vintage has textbook aromas of blackcurrant and cedar. The palate has some warmer vintage characters, though 2014 typically presents classically. The wine has sweet ripe fruit supported by firm, powdery tannins. With time, tobacco and coffee complexities emerge and the finish is warming. Drink this very good, approachable wine over the next 5 or so years. Review Rating: Very Good (★★★★, 90 points). Website: Château Labegorce. Tasted: May 2026. Like: Subscribe.
