Château du Tertre

Château du Tertre Margaux 2016

The 2016 vintage is a very good one for cru classé Château du Tertre from Margaux. It is a wine that disappears quickly from the glass due to its balanced character, quicker indeed than my note taking. It has crisp aromas of blackcurrants and violets, with cedar undertones, with the former and latter continuing to the palate. Still youthful, the palate is medium bodied and its finish between medium and long. This is a well proportioned Margaux wine that provides enjoyable drinking now and should age for a further decade. Review Rating: Very Good (★★★★, 90 points). Website: Château du Tertre. Tasted: May 2024.
