Château Kirwan Margaux Review

Château Kirwan Margaux 2018 Review

2018 is shaping up as an exceptional vintage for left bank Bordeaux.  This wine from Château Kirwan in Margaux has delicious aromas of blackcurrants, plush plum skins and vanilla.  It is one of those wines that is self evidently a very good wine, from its aroma alone.  The palate too is fleshy, and supported by dusty, firm tannins.  Some green herbs and cloves nuance its long finish.  Is it too early to open now?  I would say no, overall.  This wine is excellent drinking now.  It should continue to improve for another 5 to 8 years. It will then suit drinking over the following decade.   Review Rating: Very Good to Outstanding (★★★★☆, 92 points). Website: Château KirwanTasted: March 2025.  Like: Subscribe.
