This wine is a cabernet sauvignon from Truchard in Carneros near Napa in California. The Carneros region is a little cooler than Napa, and the wines are less plush as a consequence. The 2019 vintage of Truchard’s cabernet sauvignon has aromas of herbs and what resembles a little eucalyptus. On the palate, the wine is between medium and full bodied and has flavours primarily of blackcurrants. A velvety texture, so typical of Californian cabernet sauvignon, completes the impression.
