Rockford Rifle Range Review

Rockford Rifle Range 2006 Review

This wine is Rockford’s “Rifle Range” cabernet sauvignon from the 2006 vintage.  At 19 years’ old, it is fully mature.  The wine has aged gracefully to this point, a testament to Rockford and the longevity of Barossa cabernet sauvignon in top hands.  In the glass, the wine has aromas of earth, clove and tertiary dried fruits.  The palate has reminders of blackcurrants, dried blackcurrants, earth and sous-bois.  Firm tannins add structure to its long and savoury finish.  It’s ready to drink now.  Review Rating: Very Good (★★★★, 90 points).
