This sangiovese is from Renzaglia in the Central Ranges of New South Wales, Australia. It’s a very good wine and is in a red fruited style. The wine has aromas of red cherries. The palate continues with earth and red fruit characters, notes of tobacco and has pleasingly high acidity. The wine is a closer match to a traditional Italian rather than fruit driven “new world” expression of sangiovese. Drink it over the next 5 years. Review Rating: Very Good (★★★★, 90 points).
