Charles Audoin Marsannay Rosé Review

Domaine Charles Audoin Marsannay Rosé 2021

As summer advances in southern Australia, rosé too moves up the hierarchy of wines I’d like to drink. This wine is a Marsannay from Burgundy. It’s more like a red wine than many rosés, and as such, much more interesting. It has aromas of red florals, from pinot noir. The palate is savoury, red fruited and framed by high acidity. This is a very good quality rosé suitable for current drinking. I’d buy this wine over most rosé I taste. The alcohol is a modest 12.5%. Review Rating: Very Good (★★★★, 90 points).
