From top producer Henri Boillot, this Bourgogne rouge is from the 2018 vintage. The 2018 vintage is a warm vintage with bigger styles in Burgundy. While my practical view of Burgundy is that you are better guided by producer than the vintage, in this case, both are wonderfully aligned. This Bourgogne AOP is seriously good. In the glass, there are aromas of roses and potpourri. The palate is attractively red fruited, plump and balanced. It is comparable in quality to a top villages wine. The wine is in a lovely drinking place now, or drink it over the next few years. Review Rating: Very Good (★★★★, 90 points). Website: Henri Boillot. Tasted: May 2026. Like: Subscribe.
