This wine is from Cael’s Gate and is a shiraz from Mudgee in New South Wales, Australia. Mudgee produces soft and fruity styles of shiraz. Tasted before labelling, this wine is a rich and joyous style, aided by whole berry grapes. The colour is an inky purple. The aroma is ripe and exuberant, with emphasis on primary dark plum fruit characters. The palate is soft, full bodied and has supplementary notes of pastille.
