This wine is sourced from a vineyard in the southern Flinders Ranges in South Australia some 200 kilometres north of the Barossa Valley. The label does not feature a geographical indication. It reminds though of a classic Barossa Valley style, with ripe, soft and sweet fruited plum and dark cherry characters, coupled with long length and a very balanced expression. There are no “edges” or extremes here, nor attempts to be overly clever in the winemaking; this wine simply tastes of a wine made sympathetically from high quality physiologically ripe fruit and expresses itself much like a typical Barossa Valley style shiraz. I enjoyed it very much as a consequence. Very Good
