This wine is a Bourgogne Blanc (chardonnay) from top producer Domaine de Bellene and the 2019 vintage. 2019 was a warm vintage in Burgundy, but there is freshness in this wine. Labelled as “L’Eclos des Abeille”, in the glass there are aromas of cashews and stone fruits. The palate is pleasant, crisp and medium to full bodied. This is a more restrained expression of chardonnay that is crisper than Mâcon, but not quite as firm and steely as Chablis. Drink this wine now and over the next couple of years.
