Clonakilla, best known for their pioneering cool climate shiraz viognier homage to Côte Rotie in the Canberra region in Australia, produce a wonderful riesling. This riesling is from the 2009 vintage and in perfect condition. Even the label is perfect, stored in a low humidity environment and bottled under screwcap. In the glass, the wine has developed wonderful aromas of butter, toast, stones and bread. The palate has fresh, high acidity which adds support to the toast and stone characters.
