Clonakilla Riesling Review

Clonakilla Riesling 2007 Review

Welcome to 2026! Better known for their esteemed Australian paradigm expression of the northern Rhòne Valley shiraz viognier blend, Clonakilla from the Canberra District in Australia also produce a first rate riesling. It is remarkable value. Cellared since purchase, the 2007 vintage tasted at 18 years’ of age has aromas of minerals, butter and toast.  The palate has a biscuity, buttery character not unlike a Christmas biscuit selection. The palate has harmonious, well integrated high acidity.  This is joyous aged riesling.  Review Rating: Very Good to Outstanding (★★★★☆, 94 points). Website: Clonakilla Wines. Tasted: December 2025.  Like: Subscribe.
