This is a lovely mature Bordeaux from Château La Tour Carnet and the 2005 vintage. La Tour Carnet is one of the most affordable of the Bordeaux cru classés and is from the Haut Médoc on the Bordeaux left bank. 2005 is a great vintage. Somehow, this is 20 years’ ago. The 2005 La Tour Carnet has aromas of old cedar and dried blackcurrants. The palate is medium bodied and has a savoury, balanced finish with good length.
