Gerard Boulay Sancerre Review

Gerard Boulay Sancerre 2023 Review

This is a very restrained Sancerre from Gerard Boulay.  From the 2023 vintage, it has subtle aromas of stone and struck match. There’s little herbal character.  It is very different to the fruitier and more aromatic sauvignon blanc styles of other regions.  It’s closer in style to a Chablis.  The palate  has complex mineral and stone characters, supported by high acidity. Good length on the finish completes the impression. Drink now.  Review Rating: Very Good (★★★★, 90 points). Website: Domaine Gerard Boulay. Tasted: April 2025.  Like: Subscribe.
