Gérard Boulay Sancerre 2021 Review

Gérard Boulay’s 2021 is a classically styled wine that is more Sancerre than sauvignon blanc and more Chablis than Marlborough. It has a neutral, lemony aroma with herbal notes, the latter found only by searching. The palate is dry and light to medium bodied. The wine finishes on its high acidity and crisp character, and is exactly that, rather than a fruit wine. The alcohol is a moderate 12.5. Suitable for effortless drinking now and with or without food. Rating ★★★☆. Tasted October 2022.
