This wine is a Rioja blanco from Badiola and labelled as “Las Parcelas”. Rioja blanco is typically a macabeo dominant blend, called viura locally. This wine from the 2018 vintage is pleasant drinking, though it would be better consumed a little younger. Its aromatics are very saline. The palate is also salty with a medium to full body and lemon characters. This isn’t as serious a Rioja blanco as the recently reviewed Vinos en Voz Costumbres, but equally, it won’t disappoint.
