Carillion Block 22 Cabernet Sauvignon Review

Carillion Block 22 Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 Review

From Wrattonbully, which is near Coonawarra in Australia, this is a very good cabernet sauvignon from Carillion Wines. Wrattonbully can be a slightly rounder wine than Coonawarra, but its fruit is similar. There is a quite a useful website from the Wrattonbully regional wine association here. Labelled as the “Block 22 Cabernet Sauvignon”, this wine from Carillion has aromas of mint, blackcurrant, eucalyptus and spearmint.  The palate is between medium and full bodied. Blackcurrant characters are predominant and the wine finishes with very good length.  Drink this wine over the next 6 to 8 years.  Review Rating: Very Good (★★★★, 91 points). Website: Carillion Wines. Source: Sample. Tasted: March 2026.  Like: Subscribe.
