Bowen Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Review

Bowen Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 Review

This wine is Bowen Estate’s cabernet sauvignon from the 2023 vintage and Coonawarra in Australia.  It presents as a classic Coonawarra cabernet style.  Coonawarra at its best has a distinctive terroir imprint, and this wine agreeably took my mind to tasting youthful wines in Penola, the small town at the heart of the region, some 15 years’ prior. The wine has typical aromas of mint, black olives and youthful, purple and estery fruit.  The palate is medium bodied with youthful black olive and mint characters.  Drink over the next 6 to 8 years.   Review Rating: Very Good (★★★★, 90 points).
