This wine is from tiny producer Bandicoot Run in Longwarry in west Gippsland, Australia. While dairy country and a vast region with few vineyards, it is home to some very good pinot noir. Its most celebrated producers are Bass Phillip in south Gippsland, now part owned by Jean-Marie Fourrier and William Downie, who produces electic wines. This is a youthful, Beaujolais like expression of pinot noir. It has an esthery aroma of red fruits. The palate is dry and fresh, with primary red fruit characters.
