This is a perfectly sound Muscadet from the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie appellation and the 2023 vintage. Loire Valley Muscadet is best when a non aromatic white wine is sought that will not overpower food. This is more often than not, in my case. It’s a useful substitute for Chablis in particular. In the glass, this wine from La Cave d’Augustin Florent has typical neutral aromas of lemon and lees. The palate is dry, light bodied and the acidity is very high. Drink now.
