Guigouret Clairette de Die Review

Guigouret Clairette de Die

Clairette de Die is a regional sparkling wine made from muscat blanc à petits grains and clairette. It’s produced in the Rhône Valley in France.  This wine has a sweet muscat like aroma, together with confectionery and a supermarket of apples.  It is not an aroma that you will miss for its subtlety. The palate is medium dry, has a frothy mousse and finishes quite sweet.  This sparkling wine resembles a cross between a Moscato and demi sec Prosecco.  There will be adherents to this wine, served chilled on a summer’s day.  Drink now.  Review Rating: Acceptable (★★, 80 points).
