This is an excellent Pomerol merlot from Chateau Hermitage Mazeyres and the 2020 vintage. In the glass, there are initial aromas of tomato stalks that resolve to characters of blackcurrant and tobacco. The palate has firm and clay like tannins so typical of merlot from Pomerol.
