Pierre-Marie Chermette Beaujolais Wine Review

2018 Vintage Lost in Cellar: Review of Pierre-Marie Chermette Beaujolais

Bottled under screwcap and stored in optimal conditions I was a little surprised to taste (mildly) oxidised characters in this Beaujolais.  Until, that is, I realised this was a 2018 vintage lost in the cellar rather than a current release.  From well regarded producer Pierre-Marie Chermette this wine has aromas of macerated red strawberries and a cut grass oxidised character.  The palate has still vibrant stawberries but more stewed than fresh.  Drink up. Review Rating: Acceptable to Good (★★☆, 85 points). Website: Famille Chermette. Tasted: July 2024.
