From Crissante Alessandria in La Morra, Piemonte in Italy, this is an excellent nebbiolo rosato (rosé) from the 2021 vintage. It has an orange hue in the glass and its aroma reminds of broken twigs and rose florals. The palate is dry and its high acid holds in delicious, tangy and savoury nebbiolo fruit. In spirit this is a light skin contact red wine rather than a rosé coloured by product of red wine production. It neatly sidesteps most rosé with its complexity and obvious quality.
