This is a very tight riesling from Little River in Taggerty in southern Victoria, with the fruit for the wine sourced from the Strathbogie Ranges region north of the Yarra Valley. For the location of this region, see here. The local style is firm, dry riesling with moderate alcohol. In the glass, this wine has aromas of lemon pith, lemon skins and green apple. The palate is dry, the alcohol 12.8, the acidity is high and the lemon citrus characters are overlaid by the some ginger and peach. Ready to drink now, this riesling will age for a decade.
