Bernhard Huber Malterdinger 2019 Wine Review

This wine review is of Bernhard Huber’s pinot noir from Baden in Germany and the 2019 vintage. It is one of the few German pinot noirs that can be regularly found in Australia. In my view, this is a great pity. Germany is producing very good to outstanding Burgundian style pinot noir at fair prices, and importers would do well to find more pinot noir from the Baden, Pfalz and Ahr regions. In the glass, there are aromas of strawberry and rhubarb. The palate is medium bodied, the acidity high and the finish is fresh and red fruited. Ready to drink now, this crisp and enjoyable pinot noir can be drunk over the next 5 to 8 years. Rating: ★★★★. Website: https://www.vdp.de/en/die-winzer/baden/bernhard-huber.
