From Domaine Ostertag in Alsace and the 2019 vintage, this is a very high quality expression of pinot gris labelled as “Les Jardins”. Yellow gold in colour in the glass, it has aromas that remind of earth, pear, cinnamon spiced pears and old cedar. The palate is dry, full bodied and savoury. The alcohol is 14.0. The ageing of the wine in old oak for 11 months has added to the complexity of expression, the length on the finish is towards long and the wine’s elements are harmonious in impression.
