Moulin Château Lagune Review

Moulin de Château Lagune 2017 Review

The Moulin de Château La Lagune is the second wine of cru classé Chateau La Lagune from the Haut Médoc in Bordeaux.   2017 is an earlier drinking vintage, and one that has been particularly enjoyable for this reason in recent tastings.  This wine initially lacks some intensity of fruit.  However, a lovely balance and a moreish character emerge with time in the glass, pushing the wine in a different, favourable direction.  There are aromas of blackcurrant, cedar, pencils and an iron character.  The palate is well weighted with an elegant bearing.  Drink this wine over the next 3 to 5 years. Review Rating: Good to Very Good (★★★☆, 87 points). Website: Château La Lagune. Tasted: January 2026.  Like: Subscribe.
