Chatto Isle Pinot Noir Review

Chatto Isle Pinot Noir 2016 Review

This is a top wine from Chatto in the Huon Valley in southern Tasmania.  I understand it is difficult to get hold of this micro producer’s wines, which is a pity. They are in “waiting list for the waiting list territory”.  I can see why.  The 2016 “Isle” pinot noir has complex and subtle aromas of game, red fruits and herbs.  The palate is light to medium bodied with cedar characters. The wine finishes with delicate, medium length.  This complex Tasmanian pinot noir is ready to drink now and well worth seeking out. Review Rating: Very Good (★★★★, 90 points). Website: Chatto Wines. Tasted: March 2025.  Like: Subscribe.
