I tasted this in a bracket that included the Shadowfax and Gembrook Hill. Oakridge’s wine is a completely different style, being richer and having more fruit in comparison. It is deeply coloured with a brooding red fruit aroma. The palate provided an unanticipated and somewhat intellectual detour, as it was not all about fruit. The palate is dusty and stoney, with red and black fruits. General restraint is evident. An interesting wine, though its dustiness did not personally appeal. Rating: Good (★★★☆, 87 points).
