Shadowfax Pinot Noir 2017

Shadowfax is a winery just outside of Melbourne, on the way to Geelong. This wine from the Macedon Ranges is an excellent terroir expression of that region’s pinot noir.  It has red fruit and attractive floral aromas, reminiscent of a Curly Flat.  By attractive aromas I mean aromas that make you think twice, like an old fashioned rose.  The wine’s palate is tight, minerally and the length is medium on the finish.  This is a typical higher quality Macedon pinot noir and will suit current drinking.
