This wine review is of a text book riesling from Pewsey Vale, the Eden Valley and the 2020 vintage. A pale lemon colour in the glass, it has aromas of stones, florals and lemon/lime citrus. The palate is dry, with moderate alcohol, ripe fruit and is freshened by high linear acidity. This style of riesling is consistent with the very dry, restrained but fruit driven styles of the region – there is little winemaker influence displayed or expected here. Whilst this riesling provides enjoyment now with its dry, firm and lemony style, like most good Eden Valley riesling, it will reward medium to long term cellaring. Rating: Good.
