Sassy Wines Pinot Noir 2013

When I think of the Orange wine region, I don’t really think of pinot noir.  But here is a single vineyard pinot noir from a tiny producer in Orange and, well, it smells exactly right.  Sappy, bacon and autumnal.  The palate is good too; meaty and savoury with a touch of fruit sweetness balanced with some good length.  Food for thought here.  I’d return to this.
