d’Arenberg The Derelict Vineyard Grenache 2012

There’s something a little special about d’Arenberg’s grenache.  It achieves some depth and complexity, and it is not immediately apparent that the wine is grenache.  The best grenache tends to do this.  Perhaps it’s the old McLaren Vale vines that d’Arenberg have access to.  Cherry, blackberry and tar aromatics.  Good length, mid weight impression and lovely balance on the palate.  A delicious grenache.  Good
