Two Tasmanian wines in a row, this time a neat and tidy chardonnay from Riversdale Estate in the Coal River Valley. Despite its coolish provenance and the 2011 vintage, in the glass, the wine is quite expressive and ripe in impression. Butterscotch, nectarine and yellow peach feature on the nose. The palate displays similar characters with some appealing length, and retains its acid balance. Enjoyable drinking.
