Tim Adams Shiraz 2012

Forgive the week long absence, but it has been a very busy few weeks.  Neat, tidy and well groomed, this wine from Tim Adams has typical Clare Valley shiraz characters of baked plum, stewed red and black fruit compote and hints of pepper.  The palate has similar characters, in a mid-weight, mid length expression kind of way, that unobtrusively delivers almost precisely to its price point.  It has some roasted characters, but not overly so, and were the label from the southern Rhône it would be probably trotted out as a compliment.  Drink now, or over the next few years.

Rating: Good, Abv: 14.5%, Price: $23, Vendors: http://www.wine-searcher.com/, Website: http://www.timadamswines.com.au, Tasted: 2015
