Villa Puccini Toscana 2010

This is one of those wines that reminds of a biscuit label I saw in France, which described its nutritional content as if it were eaten with an apple.  Remarkable.  On its own, this wine tastes incomplete.  But with a salty burger, it is suddenly of interest.  The blend is not stated, but is presumably a combination of sangiovese and merlot.  It has aromatics of plum skins, florals, chalk and cherries.  The palate has short length and the aromatics feature on the palate too.  With food, it has a moreish savouriness that warrants drinking.

Rating: Acceptable to Good, Abv: 12.5%, Price: $20s, Vendors: http://www.wine-searcher.com/, Website: n/a, Tasted: 2014
