I’ve had a few good AOC Bordeaux wines lately. Historically my rummaging in this category has mostly turned up, well, nothing much worth drinking to be honest. This one though is a good value priced find. A blend of 80% merlot and 20% cabernet sauvignon, it has aromatics of earth, dark plums, spice and blackcurrant. The palate is balanced with flavours reminding of blackcurrant and plum. A good value wine.

Very nice to see and the wine consumer will be the winner…good Bordeaux at good prices!
