Well, yes, this wine from Ross Hill rather puts Orange cabernet sauvignon on my radar. And I like cabernet sauvignon based wines, as is no secret. It’s neither Margaret River, nor Coonawarra, more resembling a Yarra Valley cabernet style in a good year. There are aromatics of blackcurrant and cedar. The palate has quite long length and classic young cabernet flavours of blackcurrant, cedar and cloves. I’d like to see the oak more integrated, but I think it will do exactly that with more time in bottle. This is a very good wine.
