This is another very good wine from Teusner in the Barossa Valley, and I will certainly be purchasing more of this. A blend of grenache, shiraz and mourvedre, it has attractive aromatics of stems, plums, earth, warm beef stew with hints of lavender and thyme. The palate has medium length, maybe a bit more and its acidity and fruit are in balance. There are similar flavour impressions to its nose – stems, earth and plums, with some carefully judged sweetness from the grenache. Ready to drink now, this is a wine of real interest.
