The more I’ve studied wine, the more I’ve come to enjoy the dry rieslings of the Clare Valley. There’s something unique about its style in a global sense. They are well priced too. Grosset’s Springvale riesling from the 2013 vintage is very enjoyable. It’s a pale intensity lemon in colour, and has youthful aromatics of lemon, lime, talc and stones. The palate is dry, very dry even, has high acidity, and a medium length and austere expression of stones, lemon and lemon pith. This is a lovely wine due to its balance and complexity, and it should age well. Good
