Oakridge 864 Charlie’s Block Chardonnay 2011

Source: Google Maps

No bottle shot again I’m afraid.  What is doubly annoying is that this wine is among the best chardonnays I have thus far seen Australia produce.  It has medium intensity aromatics of lemon and minerals.  The palate has high acid, medium to long length and complex flavours reminding of lemon, unripe nectarine, toast and minerals.  The length, minerality and complexity come together to produce a wonderfully balanced and sculpted expression of chardonnay.  Outstanding
