I liked the 2005 of this wine based on my super short note. The 2009 vintage has aromatics of sour cherry, and a savoury palate with expressions of sour cherry, old cedar and cigar box. Shortish length and some bitterness, albeit not sufficiently so for the wine to lose balance, round things out. Overall, this is an acceptable to good quality wine due to its balance, but I expected a bit more fruit concentration and a stronger finish for $40 a bottle. Acceptable to Good
