Turkey Flat Vineyards Shiraz 2008

I’m not sure why I haven’t written up more of Turkey Flat’s wines.  They are good and well priced, and I visited them back in 2008/2009 and liked the people too.  What’s not to like?  The 2008 shiraz here has aromatics of tobacco, blackberry, spice, varnish and graphite.  Purple in colour, it has a balanced palate with a meaty expression and medium to long length.  The palate is rounded out by plums, spices and blackberries.  Ready to drink now, this Barossa Valley shiraz presents as it should.  Good to Very Good
