De Bortoli’s Sacred Hill Shiraz 2012 retails for the princely sum of $7.50, and no region is identified on the bottle other than Australia. It has mostly primary fruit driven aromatics of spiced plums, supplemented by a touch of pepper. The palate is dry, simple and pleasant enough, with plum flavours predominant. Balance is achieved, without the sharp edges you generally see at this price point. Acceptable
