This wine is the 2023 vintage of Peregrine’s pinot noir from Central Otago in New Zealand. This is a good wine though it does not have the same Burgundian character of Peregrine’s now hard to find and outstanding 2022 vintage reviewed here. The 2023 vintage has aromas of red fruit and some gravel and stone characters. The palate has cherry flavours and is mostly medium bodied. This is a well proportioned, balanced pinot noir that will suit drinking over the next 6 to 8 years. Review Rating: Good to Very Good (★★★☆, 89 points). Website: Peregrine Wines. Tasted: October 2026.
