This wine is La Chartreuse de Coutet, the second wine of highly regarded Château Coutet in Barsac and Sauternes. From the 2014 vintage, the wine is amber in colour with aromas of old cedar, dried fruit and marmalade. The palate is sweet, full bodied and viscous, with marmalade and umami flavours. It finishes with fresh acidity, avoiding cloying characters. It is ready to drink now. Review Rating: Very Good (★★★★, 90 points). Website: Château Coutet. Tasted: June 2025.  Like: Subscribe.
